用东方主义形容西方对东方的研究是研究者对东方文化及人文的带有偏见的理解。东、西方文化之间的碰撞、交融产生的东方主义,对生活在异国他乡的华裔作家身份的认同、文学创作的心理以及美国华裔文学的属性等方面产生了潜移默化的影响。不同历史时期在多方因素的影响下,美国华裔文学也相应呈现出不同的态势,东方主义正由构建向解构的方向发展。
Using Orientalism to describe the West’s study of the Orient is a biased understanding of Eastern culture and humanity by researchers. The collision between Eastern and Western cultures, the Orientalism produced by blending, the identities of the Chinese writers living in other countries, the psychology of literary creation, and the attributes of American Chinese descendents have had a subtle influence. Different historical periods under the influence of many factors, the Chinese American literature also showed a different situation accordingly, the development of orientalism is from the construction to the direction of deconstruction.
