玉林专区为了确保汛期安全,组织一万多人,开展防汛工作大检查,并组织力量,对检查中所发现的问题,作了及时处理。地委于5月17日发出紧急电话指示,要求各地在大力抓紧雨后时机贮水保水防旱的同时,切实做好水利工程的汛期防范工作,对所有新旧水利工程,特别是那些坝首、排洪道尚未全套建成的水库,要采取领导干部、技术人员、广大群众三结合的办法,开展一次防汛工作大检查,并及时组织力量进行加修加固工作。
