In several remote villages on the heights of the South Pacific island of Vanuatu, water supplies are planned to be raised by water. Pumping power will be provided by a mini-hydropower station in the nearby basin. Due to the limited output of dry-season mini-hydropower stations, it was decided to adopt a variable-speed automatic control system.
