血红素加氧酶 (ＨＯ)是胆红素形成过程中的第一种酶 ,也是一种限速酶 ,这种酶可使血红蛋白或其它含有血红素的蛋白质中的血红素降解形成胆绿素。这是一种需能过程 ,因为在降解过程中卟啉环中的铁离子的游离、一氧化碳 (ＣＯ)的释放和胆绿素的生成 ,均需要烟酰胺腺嘌呤二核苷酸?
Heme oxygenase (HO) is the first enzyme in bilirubin formation and a rate-limiting enzyme that degrades heme in hemoglobin or other heme-containing proteins to form biliverdin . This is an energy-requiring process because nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide is required for the liberation of iron ions in the porphyrin ring, the release of carbon monoxide (CO) and the production of biliverdin in the degradation process.
