在1991年8月参加在日本举行的国际茶叶学术研讨会之后,应日本静冈县日中农林水产交流协会的邀请,对静冈县茶叶生产、栽培管理、加工技术、茶叶机械化和茶叶市场等进行考察。在日本同行的陪同下,周密安排,具体考察了茶机厂、制茶厂、茶叶市场、茶叶试验场及茶农户等、从城市到农村,直至山区茶农家庭,通过参观学习、座谈访问、调查研究,总的印象:静冈县是日本主要产茶区,交通发达,生态环境好,电气化,机械化程度高,茶叶科技、推广、教育紧密结合。由于竞争强烈,茶叶发展面临新的问题。
