以“开放、标准、未来”为宗旨，ＩＢＭ提出的全面存储解决方案是一个集存储设备、网络结构、存储技术、管理软件和技术服务为一体的网络存储解决方案。它能够为企业提供跨越ＰＣ机和超级计算机服务器的高可用牲、高可靠性、可扩展牲和通用性的存储能力。它是根据电子商务环境下客户在数据保护、数据共享、数据整合以及灾难恢复等四个方面的需求，而相应定制的全面的存储解决方案。包括灭难恢复存储解决方案、存储整合解决方案、商务智能解决方案、ＳＡＮ存储区域网络解决方案等等。 这些方案是建立在ＩＢＭ以下的７种存储产品上的。
To “open, standards, the future” for the purpose, IBM’s comprehensive storage solution is a collection of storage devices, network structure, storage technology, management software and technical services as one of the network storage solutions. It provides enterprises with highly available storage, high reliability, scalable storage and versatile storage capabilities across PC and supercomputer servers. It is based on customer e-commerce environment in the data protection, data sharing, data consolidation and disaster recovery, and other four aspects, and the corresponding customized comprehensive storage solutions. Including disaster recovery storage solutions, storage consolidation solutions, business intelligence solutions, SAN storage area network solutions and more. These programs are based on IBM’s following seven kinds of storage products.
