沈阳市仪器仪表工业是从解放后,由小到大,逐步发展起来的。六十年代初,建立了专业化的沈阳市仪器仪表工业公司后,又有了较大的发展,成为我国仪器仪表工业生产基地之一。现有主机厂二十九个,元件材料厂四个,工艺协作厂两个,研究所一个,其中国家仪表总局定点企业十八个,省定点和计划归口企业十个。该公司具有先进的生产手段,较强的技术力量、生产能力和设备,并有一定的经营管理经验。能够承担成套的自动化仪表系统
