解释学是以理解为研究对象的。理解的旨趣在解释学的发展进程中发生了悄悄的转向,形成了解释学与哲学解释学的分立。就其本性而言,作为解释学研究对象的理解是对文本的理解,而作为哲学解释学之研究对象的“理解”本质上是对历史的认识;解释学是一门有着悠久历史传统的具体科学,哲学解释学属于哲学。解释学与哲学解释学两者之间存在内在的联系,但两者的区别是基本的,是两个不同的学科。
Hermeneutics is understood as the object of study. The intention of understanding happened quietly in the development of hermeneutics, forming the separation of hermeneutics and philosophical hermeneutics.
