八十华诞从新开始武汉市光谷第三小学始建于1936年,前身为江夏区流芳中心小学,2005年7月由武汉东湖高新技术开发区托管,学校更名为武汉市光谷第三小学。2012年7月,武汉市光谷第三小学与武汉市光谷第七小学组建为武汉市光谷第三小学教育集团,是全市第一家小学教育集团。学校分为南北两个校区,现有学生3600余人,教师163人。融入武汉·中国光谷10余年来,光谷三小坚持光谷教育的核心价值观,迅速实现了两次
