1992年10月,中国共产党召开了具有伟大历史意义的第十四次全国代表大会,确立了建立有中国特色的社会主义市场经济体制和进一步全方位开放的总体目标。五年来,上海人民在以江泽民同志为核心的党中央领导下,高举邓小平建设有中国特色社会主义理论的伟大旗帜,全面贯彻执行党的基本路线,改革开放和社会主义现代化建设事业全面推进,取得了令人鼓舞的辉煌成就。值此党的第十五大召开之际,上海市统计局利用所掌握的统计资料,以数字为依据,形成系列回顾报告,集中展示了十四大以来5年上海社会经济发展的巨大变化,以此作为统计工作者给党的十五大的献礼。本刊特辟《迎十五大》专栏,刊载其中部分报告。
In October 1992, the CPC convened the 14th National Congress of great historic significance and established the overall goal of establishing a socialist market economy system with Chinese characteristics and further opening up in all directions. Over the past five years, under the leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Jiang Zemin as the core, the people of Shanghai have held high the great banner of Deng Xiaoping’s theory of building socialism with Chinese characteristics and fully implemented the Party’s basic line. The reform and opening up and the socialist modernization drive have been promoted in an all-round way. Encouraging brilliant achievements. On the occasion of the convening of the 15th CPC National Congress, the Bureau of Statistics of Shanghai used the statistical data at its disposal to form a series of retrospective reports on the basis of figures, concentrating on the great changes in the social and economic development of Shanghai in the past five years since the 14th CPC Congress, As a tribute to the party’s 15th National Congress of Statistics. We published a special column entitled “Welcome to the 15th CPC National Congress” and published some of the reports.
