语言是文化的载体,二者密切联系在一起,不可分割。词汇作为语言的基本构成要素,其意义具有极其丰富的文化内涵。因此,学习一种语言中的词汇就意味着要学习另外一种文化。本文试从阐释文化的定义和特点入手,指出了英语词汇学习中文化学习的重要意义,并且对如何在英语学习中加强文化学习提出了几点参考建议。
Language is the carrier of culture, both are closely linked and inseparable. Vocabulary as a basic component of language, its meaning is extremely rich cultural connotation. Therefore, learning a language vocabulary means learning another culture. This paper attempts to explain the definition and characteristics of culture, points out the importance of cultural learning in English vocabulary learning, and puts forward some suggestions on how to strengthen cultural learning in English learning.
