柑桔实生苗木,初期生育缓慢,从播种到开花、结果需要经过很长的年月,少则6—10年,多则十几年。作为柑桔育种来说,缩短播种至开花、结果的期间,对于谋求育种效率化是极其重要的,过去利用的高接和在玻璃室内的切接方法,都能加速实生幼苗的生长发育,提前开花结果。关于促进幼苗初期生育,还有高原等人提出的靠接法。本报告报道的是,为了促进柑桔实生苗初期生育所采用的新的嫁接方法,即把发芽后的种子作为接穗,嫁接在砧木上,并对其成活率以及初期生育的促进效果进行的研究。
