“美国佛教总会”会长,“世界佛学联谊会”会长宣化上人(度轮法师),1915年出生于吉林省双城县。他俗姓白,是禅宗沩仰宗派第四十六代法统继承人。1949年应香港佛众之邀,去香港弘法。1962年春,他怀着重整世风,拯救西方青年的宏愿,远涉重洋,只身由香港到美国去宣讲佛法。1971年在三藩市第十五街1731号创立金山寺,同时成立中美佛教总会。1973年又在三藩市华盛顿街3636号另设一间国际译经院,训练翻译人才及
President of American Buddhist Association, President of World Buddhist Association Xuanhua Master (Degree Wheel Master), born in Shuangcheng County, Jilin Province in 1915. His surname is white, is the forty-sixth generation of the Zen sectarian heir. At the invitation of Hong Kong Buddhist people in 1949, Hong Kong should go to Hong Kong to promote Buddhism.
