OBJECTIVE: To investigate the use of bottled pure water users’ drinking fountains and their microbial contamination of effluent water to provide a scientific basis for the decision-making and management of health and urban construction departments. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted on the use of drinking fountains by users. The water quality micro-organism test was carried out according to “Sanitary Standard for Bottled Drinking Water” (GB173 2 4-1998). Results: 86.6% of the users placed the drinking fountains in the kitchen or living room. The average cycle time of each bucket of water was 5 days and 7 days respectively in summer and winter, while 43.8% of the users did not take disinfection measures in the course of using them. 64.3 For the first time, 90% of users did not disinfect their drinking fountains. 5 9.8% of users did not disinfect the mouth of the new barrel changer, and 67% did not know the position of the drain valve of the water dispenser. For the water in the barrel and the water in the valve, the total number of colonies and the number of yeasts of the households are higher than that of the group households (p <0.05). The total number of colonies discharged from household valve was higher than that of barrel water (P <0.05), and the passing rate of the total number of colonies was lower than that of barrel water (P <0.01). Conclusion: In order to improve the effluent quality of drinking fountains and reduce the pollution of microorganisms, the drinking fountains should be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected when they are used for the first time. They should be cleaned and disinfected regularly. Each time a new barrel is replaced, To minimize drinking cycle. Improve the existing structure of drinking fountains is expected to improve water quality
