一晚清时期的《论语》英译第一部在西方刊印的《论语》译本,是由比利时耶稣会士柏应理(Philippe Couplet,1623-1693)等人用拉丁语完成的,其书名为《中国哲学家孔子,或以拉丁语表述中国人的智慧》(Confucius sinarum philosophus,sive Scientia sinensis latine exposita),1687年出版于法国巴黎。①除《论语》之外,这部书中还包括《大学》和《中庸》
An English Translation of The Analects in the Late Qing Period The first translated Lun Yu in the West was completed in Latin by the Jesuit Philippe Couplet (1623-1693) Confucius sinarum philosophus (sive Scientia sinensis latine exposita), published by Chinese philosopher Confucius in 1687 in Paris, France. ① In addition to “Analects of Confucius”, this book also includes “University” and “Golden Mean”
