海陆长绒一号(保2362×米奴非)原是一个早熟、优质、高产的优良杂交组合。近年来由于没有对亲本进行细致选株留种,致使亲本品种混杂退化,所配制的海陆长绒一号种子,在生产上应用后出现了不同程度的红叶病株和部分植株在7月下旬到8月上旬结铃较少,而至立秋后才旺结秋桃等现象,降低了纤维品质和产量。例如1973年9个杂交组合比较中,海陆长绒一号红叶病株率达9.76%;8月15日前平均结铃数仅10个左右;10月底前收花率不足60%。在供试组合中表现产量不高,纤维品质下降。
