《New Scientist》1983;98(1356):272.
New Scientist 1983; 98 (1356): 272. Texas, USA: Some findings suggest that a possible method of alleviating the brain damage of alcoholics in a traffic accident may be found. This method involves the use of Dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO), which has long been the subject of debate. Maurice Albin et al. Of the Department of Anesthesiology at the Texas State University Medical Center San Antonio, Texas, believe that DMSO can reduce the range of brain damage by removing free radical, a highly active substance. Free radicals are the process of ethanol decomposition into acetaldehyde
