Objective To explore the effect of pain education on postoperative pain control and rehabilitation in gynecologic patients. Methods A total of 372 cases from our hospital from February 2013 to February 2016 were enrolled in this study and divided into 2 groups (186 cases each). The patients in the observation group received preoperative pain education and the control group received routine nursing care. According to the professional scale, the degree of postoperative pain was evaluated in two groups of patients. The time of the first extubation, the time to first bed, and the time of 24 h, 48 h sleep and hospital stay were recorded. Results There were significant differences in cognitive status in all aspects of pain between the two groups (P <0.05). The degree of postoperative pain in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The observation group 1 d, 2 d sleep time, bed time, anal exhaust was significantly better than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The pain education is helpful for the patients to control the postoperative pain and promote the early recovery of the patients.
