提倡素质教育,不是为彻底铲除应试教育,而是为了消除应试教育的唯一性,从而达到素质教育与应试教育的协和;提倡活动课程,不是为了消灭学科课程,而是为了消除学科课程的唯一性,达到课程的多元化,即学科课程与活动课程的协和;提倡民族性教育,不是为了狭隘的民族主义,而是为了更多地拥有国际性。协和犹如一杆天平秤,左右两个支点,当中一个平衡点,三点成一线,互为存在前提,彼此照应,彼此相连。具体到各个学科,教育的协和问题,就成为学科教学中的张力问题。
