Is it necessary for the government to directly intervene in the economy? Since the outbreak of the financial crisis, China has seen its economy outshine others and maintained its strong growth momentum. It is expected to exceed 10% in 2010 on the basis of 8.7% growth in 2009. It is generally believed at home and abroad that such a growth rate can not be separated from the government-led large-scale investment. As a result, there is a domestic opinion that China’s government-led development model is better than the western market-led model. Although this view has not been recognized by the West, the strong economic performance in China has forced them to doubt the market-oriented model.
