Gap junctions are widely distributed in a variety of tissue cells, and the channels formed by them allow small signaling molecules to pass directly between adjacent cells and play an important role in cell-cell communication. Gap junctions consist of connexins (Cx). Up to now, more than 20 members of the Cx family have been found [1], which make interstitial or interstitial connections between adjacent cells and regulate cell proliferation and differentiation. During the development of mammalian follicles, the gap formed between oocytes and surrounding granulosa cells is connected, mediating intercellular communication, migration of germ cells, recovery of meiotic capacity of oocytes, delamination of granulosa cells, Cavity, luteal formation, gonadotropin signaling has a very important regulatory role. Based on the related research reports in recent years, this paper reviews the role of gap junction in follicular development.
