The luxury of COMO won't show in the expensive appearance， but focusing on art，design，retreat and fashion. Every COMO is unique.
Point Yamu by COMO has 79 rooms and suites， as well as 27 private pool villas， and all of them enjoy a charming cape view. Paola Navone combines relaxation and sophistication in the design， to create a new style with Thailand elements inside of the modern surface.
Paola Navone said： "I hope to make Point Yamu a resort that guests can relax in and put their stress away. A good hotel in my mind is with a sense of contemporary， and also able to make guests understand the local culture， to let guests know where they are， the balance is quite important."
This contradictory yet magically harmonious combination is everywhere. The most significant part is to put Thailand local religion element in the modern design. The furniture are full of industry taste， while the ceiling is painted with ancient symbolic pattern by monks； Baroque crystal chandelier hanging restaurant with giant wooden Buddha hand. And all the simple looking wood furniture are hand-made by Thailand artists. You can feel the Mediterranean modern and Asian Zen at the same time.
Rustic gray， black and white stand out the blue and orange， avant-garde and classic， dream and reality， shades and light， it's like a piece of music with rhythm playing in Point Yamu by COMO.

A： Carlo Mollino、Alessandro Mendini、Ettore Sottsass和Achille Castiglioni。我的自由流动和反传统思想模式从参与Alchimia和Memphis运动而来，这些都是1970年代末意大利反学术式建筑文化的代表。

A：一如亚洲每事每物，设计的转变也是如此快速。我见到愈想愈多新进年轻设计师运用自家有趣的个性打造时装和产品。複製西方设计的时代已经终结。
HOTEL ELITE： Which designer influence you the most？
A： Carlo Mollino、Alessandro Mendini、Ettore Sottsass and Achille Castiglioni. Much of my free and unconventional way of thinking about things comes from my involvement in Alchimia and Memphis， the anti-academic side of architecture in Italy in the latest Seventies.
HOTEL ELITE： Where do you find your design inspiration？
A： The world itself is a endless inspiration. Even just walking in a corner of a market， I can find something to inspire me. I keep collecting images， items，colors and shapes from all over the world in my mind， and when start a new project， a proper idea will pop up by itself.
In my work， I like to mix things from different worlds in space and time. I like to combine hand-made rustic beauty and concept and technology from the future. I admire simplicity， and I like to send light vibes and positive energy in everything I do.
HOTEL ELITE： What changes do you think that Asian design has for the past decade？
A： Just like everything of Asia， the change of design happens very fast. I’ve seen more and more new and young designers creating fashion and products with their own interesting personalities. The age of copying western design is already ended.

It all began when the current owner came across the old house Baan Borneo in Chiang Mai. This black wooden house surrounded by big old trees dated back to 1889 and until 1958 was the headquarter of the British East Borneo Company.
The importance and wealth of a property owner in Chiang Mai was often recognized by the size of their Lanna style Thai houses， and in particular how many pillars. So Jack Bain， the last resident of the house decided to count the number of pillars which came to 137， which translates into 137 Pillars House， a fascinating house with true history. It was carefully restored and in the end of 2011， 30 stunning suites built around it as the award-winning 137 Pillars House Chiang Mai.
137 Pillars Suites & Residences Bangkok inherits the spirit of this house. Inspired by this origin， the design of the hotel is focused on modern contemporary design with a timeless quality. The Architectural Designer is Palmer & Turner （Thailand） Ltd， Interior Design is conducted by P49 Design & Associates and restaurants design is from Santhaya & Associates， humbly the oldest architectural firm in Thailand.

Nimitr in Thai translates as "Special Dream". Nimitr's design is a modern decor of a unique contemporary Asian design in a global metropolis. The restaurant's shining and vivid blue combination adds to the dining experience by encouraging soothing senses， whilst creating a romantic warmth. Premium Northern and Southern hemisphere wines are showcased in the Wine Wall and expertly presented by our 137 Pillars sommeliers. Nimitr is an upscale fine dining destination serving Thai Inspired Gastronomic Cuisine drawing on Asian and Western inspirations.
Located next to the lobby entrance， occupying a space of 200 sqm including an outside garden area， Bangkok Trading Post is an all-day dining bistro& deli incorporating the finest traditions of Asia and The West. Premium Northern and Southern hemisphere wines are showcased in the Wine Wall and expertly presented by our 137 Pillars sommeliers. Nimitr is an upscale fine dining destination serving Thai Inspired Gastronomic Cuisine drawing on Asian and Western inspirations.
