伴随着医学领域对婴儿在水中行为的研究取得突破性进展,早教行业、运动学、心理学等各相关行业对婴幼儿水育开始深入研究和实践,婴幼儿在水中的培育服务逐渐进入人们的生活。上世纪六七十年代,美国弗吉尼亚州的Hunt Newman和澳洲的Claire Timmermans成为最早尝试开始婴儿水育服务的机构,那时这些早期的婴幼儿水育的开拓者,就已经在水中教授成百上千的宝宝们了!尽管国情不同,但婴儿游泳活动开展的主要目标有两种:一种是根据婴幼儿的发育情况,与早期潜能开发结合起来的婴幼儿水育模式;另一种是将人类接受游泳训练的时间提前到婴幼儿阶段。因历经60年实践而闻名于世的澳洲婴幼儿水育属于前者,
