改革开放以来中国的外汇管理体制进行了渐进式的改革，其实质是逐步实现人民币自由兑换。香港是中国内地主要的外贸中介、外贸伙伴，人民币走向自由兑换必然会影响中国内地的对外贸易条件对香港经济的各方面发生作用。本文在分析、评价人民币走向自由兑换的进程的基础上，重点运用国际收支弹性论分析人民币汇率变动通过对内地的外贸的影响给香港外贸行业带来的影响。在理论分析的基础上，本文还尝试对实际情况进行分析与检验。文章最后还展望了人民币实现全面自由兑换的前景及其影响
Since the reform and opening up, China’s foreign exchange management system has undergone gradual reform, in essence, the gradual realization of RMB free convertibility. Hong Kong is a major foreign trade intermediary and foreign trade partner in mainland China. The RMB’s conversion towards free convertibility will inevitably affect the conditions for the external trade in mainland China to have an impact on all aspects of Hong Kong’s economy. On the basis of analyzing and evaluating the progress of RMB towards free convertibility, this paper focuses on the use of international balance of payments elasticity to analyze the impact of RMB exchange rate changes on the foreign trade of Hong Kong through the impact on the mainland’s foreign trade. On the basis of theoretical analysis, this article also tries to analyze and test the actual situation. At the end of the article, the article also looks into the prospects for the realization of full convertibility of the renminbi and its impact
