四姑娘山素有“东方阿尔卑斯”之称。1994年被列为国家级风景名胜区,1996年被列为国家级自然保护区,2001年又被列为国家级AAAA级景区,其品位可与世界著名国家公园如黄石公园,科罗拉多大峡谷相媲美。 四姑娘山位于四川省阿坝州小金县境内,东经102°41′30″-102°58′38″,北纬30°54′23″-31°16′33″,东与卧龙大熊猫自然保护区接壤,南与蜂桶寨大熊猫自然保护区相连,四周有夹金山、米亚罗、理县华棚沟等将其环境,是我国距中心城市最近且规模最大的雪山型景区。
