想使蜡梅多开花首先要人为限制其生长,花后修剪留2芽。春天萌发的新芽长到10厘米时摘心,当二次芽和三次长到10厘米时要同样摘心,这样的处理可减少不必要的消耗使养分集中、新枝增粗。生长期每隔15天喷叶面肥磷酸二氧0.5～1%,每隔20天根施腐熟的饼肥(浓度1:50),间隔20天施复合肥0.5～1%,此后交替施之。每年将鱼鳞及内脏离根四30～40厘米埋入一次,让其慢慢腐熟并被根吸收,这样整个株枝繁叶茂。入冬后,第一节、二节、三节每节分别着花8～10朵,七着花50～60朵。比任春芽自由生长30厘米再摘心,着花率高了2.3倍。盆栽蜡梅同样适用。
