With the development of high-efficiency, high-speed, high-precision, automation, and continuous development of modern industrial equipment, equipment management has become increasingly important. The maintenance and repair of various types of equipment are also gradually complicated. All of these require us to better learn and summarize the advanced experience in various aspects at home and abroad. There are two major systems for equipment management and maintenance in the world today. One is the production maintenance (PM) in the United States; the other is the Soviet Union’s planned pre-repair ((?)). The former is based on daily inspections, periodic inspections, and maintenance. It is called the “post-inspection repair method.” The interval between repairs and repairs are determined according to the actual damage; the latter is based on certain actions.
