2005年是全国统一使用一套教材的最后一年,从2006年开始全国就有使用三套教材的省市,一是人教社的JEFC教材,二是人教社与美国汤姆森公司合编的Go for it教材,三是河北教育出版社与加拿大国际交流中心合编的Learning English,因此2005年的中考命题将会具有对新旧教材起着承上启下的作用,它将为下一年的考试改革作一定的铺垫,所以非课改地区2005年中考的试题命制将会参照2004年课改实验地区的试题及各项政策,命制的试题也将会向课改实验地区的试题命制靠拢。以便更快地适应和体现新课标的理念和更利于教材、教学的改革,故2005年的英语中考命题将在以下五个方面具有各自相应的特点和趋势:
