土地革命时期是毛泽东思想形成并开始走向成熟的关键时期,但是,毛泽东思想的形成与发展又是在一种非常不稳定的大环境当中艰难前行的。“左”倾错误路线对于中国革命的破坏、对于毛泽东本人的不公平导致了中国革命及毛泽东本人命运的跌宕起伏。《清平乐·会昌》比较集中地反映了毛泽东对“左”倾错误领导的不满和愤怒,表达了自己内心的郁闷和迷茫,对于革命前途的深切关怀和忧虑,同时更表达了毛泽东逆境抗争,急于希望党和红军能够摆脱险境,重新开创中国革命新局面的迫切心情。
