1993年以来,山西省交城县委、县政府按照“抓班子、打基础、促稳定、加强农业、搞活国营二轻企业、大力发展乡镇企业、实现山区稳定脱贫、平川达小康”的工作思路,牢牢抓住“山川联合、贫富结缘”的经济发展战略,使全县经济有了长足的进步。工农业总产值由1992年的3亿元增长到1995年的13亿元,增加了4.3倍;乡镇企业总产值由1992年的2.5亿元增长到1995年的15亿元,增加了6倍;财政收入由1992年的1800万元增长到1995年的5000万元,增加了1.5倍。农民人均纯收入由1992年的570元增长到1995年的1250元,增加了一倍多。同时,全县各行各业也呈现出蓬勃发展生机。
