思想政治工作，说到底是做人的工作，做人的思想转化工作。人们的思想是由人们的社会存在决定的，我国人民现在赖以存在的社会是什么样的社会呢？赵紫阳同志在十三大的报告中指出：“对这个问题，我们党已经有了明确的回答：我国正处在社会主义的初级阶段。”社会主义初级阶段理论的提出，为坚持改革开放奠定了坚实的理论基础，是我们认识问题、解决问题的依据，也是思想政治工作的立足点和出发点。以社会主义初级阶段理论为指导，强化思想政治工作有许多工作要做。根据最近两年我省工商银行思想政治工作的实践，我觉得必须维护思想政治工作部门的权威。
