2013年9月30日,丰城曲江煤炭开发有限责任公司曲江井两二采区603东顺槽在掘进支护作业时发生煤与瓦斯突出事故,突出煤量405吨,涌出瓦斯量36480立方米,造成了11人死亡,1人重伤,2人轻伤。事故巷道掘进长度不足100米,尽管防突风门墙和门扇没有破坏,但突出后的高浓度瓦斯逆流到进风巷道中,进入了其他采掘巷道和作业地点,离事故点约400米的两二采区变电所瓦斯浓度达到5.4%,如果此时遇到火源,将极易引发瓦斯爆炸事故。
