大家都知道意人利面食在英语世界很吃得开,欧美及澳洲各大城市都有水准极高而价值又相宜的意大利餐厅。其实说到底,意大利面食的祖宗是中国北方菜。sphagetti(意大利面)源于拉面;raviolli(意大利云吞)源于菜肉云吞;别的奇形怪状面食,我们也有刀削面、猫耳朵等可供参考。至于最广为人知的 pizza,我看其祖宗非葱油饼莫属。反正当年马可波罗尝了鲜,把中国的面食传统带回老家,混合有当地特色的材料如茄酱及芝士,于是开花结果,自成一家。(现在流行说法是 Marco Polo 根本没有到过中国,他写的游记只是把听来的材料加上想像力拼合起来。果真如此,他倒该算是欧洲第一位“东方学家”[Orientalist]了。)
Everyone knows that Italian pasta is very edible in the English-speaking world. The major cities in Europe, the United States and Australia have very high standards of value and affordable Italian restaurants. In fact, in the final analysis, the ancestor of pasta is Northern Chinese cuisine. sphagetti (spaghetti) from the ramen; raviolli (Italian wonton) from the meat wonton; other bizarre pasta, we also have noodles, cat ears, etc. for reference. As for the most well-known pizza, I see none of its ancestors non-burrito.
