In mid-May 1978 Prof. LIN Zhenzhen from the University of British Columbia, Canada, gave a 40-day lectures at the Fujian Institute of Material Structure Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The lectures covered the fundamentals of quantum chemistry, the electronic structure of multi-electron atoms, group theory and coordination field theory. July 7, 1978 Institute of Astronautics, University of Tokyo, Japan, Associate Professor of Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis Society Prof. Kobe Taro for three weeks gave lectures at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences for lectures on topics such as: 1.
