在时代演进中常常有重大的转折时期,历史需要能够继承前人的事业,并为未来开辟道路的伟人,时势也造就了这样的伟人。十一届三中全会是建国以来党的历史上具有深远意义的伟大转折,此后我们的共和国进入了一个建设中国特色社会主义的新时期。邓小平正是在这个转折中,在与其他老一辈无产阶级革命家的集体奋斗中,成了承前启后、继往开来的伟人。
Often, there are major turning points in the evolution of the times. History needs great people who can inherit the cause of their predecessors and open the way for the future. The Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee is a great turning point in the history of the party since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Our republic has since entered a new era of building socialism with Chinese characteristics. It is during this turning point that Deng Xiaoping has become a great man who inherits the past and opens up to the outside world in the collective struggle with other proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation.
