OBJECTIVE: To analyze the trend of lung cancer incidence in Guangzhou from 2005 to 2013 and provide basis for the establishment of Guangzhou lung cancer prevention and control measures. Methods: According to the incidence data and the corresponding population data collected from Cancer Registry of Guangzhou City from 2005 to 2013, the incidence of lung cancer was calculated according to gender, age-related morbidity, age-adjusted morbidity (world standard rate), annual percentage change (APC% , And describe the trend of lung cancer incidence in each year from 2005 to 2013. Results: A total of 34 873 cases of lung cancer were found in Guangzhou from 2005 to 2013. The crude incidence of lung cancer and the world standard rates were 49.27 / 100 000 (male 65.44 / 100000, female 32.55 / 100000) and 34.94 / 100000 (male 49.68 / 100,000, women 21.53 / 100,000). The incidence of lung cancer increased with age, rising rapidly from the age of 40, the peak incidence in the age group of 80-84 was 380.46 / 100 000, and the age group over 85 years old dropped to 307.08 / 100 000. The crude incidence of lung cancer showed a steady increase from 2005 to 2013 in Guangzhou, with the annual percentage change of 1.21% (95% CI: 0.30% -2.10%). The trend of crude incidence was statistically different (P <0.05). World standard rate showed a steady decline, the annual percentage change was -1.16% (95% CI: -1.90% -0.40%), the world standard rate showed a statistically significant difference (P <0.05). Conclusion: The incidence of crude incidence of lung cancer in Guangzhou increased steadily from 2005 to 2013, mainly due to the aging population. Effective prevention and control measures should be actively strengthened.
