1937年徐特立老人60寿辰之时,毛泽东致信高度赞扬徐老“革命第一,工作第一,他人第一”的崇高品质,号召全党同志向徐老学习.本文介绍的只是徐老许许多多故事中的几件小事.退鸡蛋一天,陕甘宁边区政府派人为徐老送来几十个鸡蛋,可徐老就是不收,他说:“组织上对我太关心了,已经做到了无微不至.今天给送东西来,我很感激.不过我用不着,身体挺好的,请你费心拿回去,让总务科的人转给体弱多病的同志.”没办法,几十个鸡蛋只好拿回去.
