对我国多个高校的学生进行调查后发现一个现象,许多学生的英语阅读能力与书写表达能力十分突出,但口语表达能力是弱项。高等职业教育不仅承担着为国家发展培养高技术人才的责任,还承担着培育新一代文化水平高、具有与世界接轨的眼光、视野与思维开阔以及着眼于全世界的社会主义接班人。从事高等职业教育的英语教师们,不仅肩负着传道授业解惑的传统职责,还要引导学生在接受、学习一门外语的同时,深入的了解中西方文化的差异,使学生在更好地适应国际化大发展的同时,进一步提高对本国文化的自豪感,更有效地吸取外国文化的精华,使其根植于中华民族的优秀文化之中。增强高等职业教育学校学生的文化自觉与文化自信不仅可以使高职生的文化素养提升,还可以增加高职生在与人交流过程中的自信心,改善其英语交流出现障碍的现象。

Enhancing students’ cultural awareness and cultural self-confidence in higher vocational education can not only enhance the cultural attainment of higher vocational students, but also increase the self-confidence of higher vocational students in their communication with others and improve the obstacles in their English communication.
