Crash often leads people to develop new safety technologies. In 1992, a controlled collision that occurred on United States flight TWA514 (B727) crashed into Dulles airport in Washington, D.C. during the approach and all 92 people were killed. The NTSB investigation of the accident revealed that just six weeks before the TWA crash, the other aircraft encountered the same situation on the same route, fortunately, no accident occurred. The incident was inside the airline and all pilots in the company knew the insecurity. Unfortunately, it is not advertised to other airlines. As a result, the FAA is determined to build a reporting system with an information sharing platform.
