In China, with the prolonged life expectancy of the population and the change of life style, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, which are mainly hypertension, have become an important threat to people’s health [1]. In order to improve the level of prevention and treatment of hypertension and to make the comprehensive prevention and treatment measures of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in rural communities and to evaluate the effect, we provided an epidemiological investigation of hypertension in Daxing Township, Yuhong District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province in 2006. ?
