联合国政府间气候变化专业委员会07年11月公布第四份气候变化评估报告,全球气温本世纪可能上升1.1～6.4℃,海平面上升18～59cm。面对这一问题,上海政府部门正考虑在上海吴淞口新建一座水闸,建成后完全能抵挡59cm的海平面升幅。
In November 2007, the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released its fourth assessment report on climate change. The global temperature may increase by 1.1-6.4 ℃ in this century and sea level rise by 18-59cm. Faced with this issue, the Shanghai government is considering a new sluice in Shanghai’s Wusongkou, which will be able to withstand a 59-cm increase in sea level.
