记者手记:从认识到采访王贵明,实属偶然。在今年一月份召开的中国人民政治协商会议山西省委员会第一次会议上,一位坐着轮椅的委员吸引了在场的所有人,媒体争先采访,但他总是委婉地谢绝记者对其个人传奇故事的报道。从委员的花名册里,我惊奇地发现他是出席此次政协会中两位来自农村的委员之一,更是唯一坐着轮椅的委员。毋庸置疑,他能当选委员,一定是带领村民付出了艰辛的心血和汗水,取得了令人瞩目的成绩。带着钦佩之心,两会结束后,我冒着大雪来到位于省城杏花岭区杨家峪街道办事处东沟村,来到这里才发现该村地理位置位于东山之上,没有任何资源和地理优势,但眼前却耸立着一排排整齐的小洋楼,村民们生活得悠闲而安然,这似乎说明了些什么,这位坐在轮椅里的村委主任就是在这里实现了他非凡的人生价值。见到王贵明时,他正坐着轮椅里和村民们一起扫雪……王贵明热情地接待了记者,面对记者的刨根问底,他只是微微一笑,再无下文。无奈之下,记者只好找到主任助理和一些村民,从他们的口中了解到了这位带领他们走向富裕,走向和谐的,朴实而又不平凡的人物——他们的村长王贵明。

When I met Wang Guiming, he was sitting in a wheelchair with the villagers sweeping snow ... Wang Guiming warmly received the reporter. In the face of the reporter’s questioning, he just smiled, no more. In desperation, the reporter had to find the chief assistant and some villagers, learned from their mouths that lead them to prosperity, toward harmony, simple and extraordinary people - their village chief Wang Guiming.
