Legalization of the status of acupuncture medicine In 1952, the Ministry of Health of France formally recognized that acupuncture as a comprehensive treatment method existed in the medical sector in France. Only officially qualified doctors have the legal power to implement acupuncture therapy. Since then, acupuncture therapy has ended the unfair treatment that has been used as an adjuvant therapy for half a century, and it has been incorporated into the scope of regular medical methods and has achieved its due social status. Since then, some major hospitals have successively set up acupuncture and moxibustion departments. Some private acupuncture clinics have also appeared in the streets of large and small cities in France.
