With the hot development of international tourism and the more frequent international business cooperation among companies or personnel,the im-portance of entry and exit border inspection work has become more and more prominent.In the work of entry and exit border inspection,English is a quality that an entry and exit border staff must to grasp and it plays a very critical role in improving the service level.This paper will sketch the main application areas of Eng-lish in the entry and exit border inspection work,and discuss the question based on the principles of English that the entry and exit border inspection work should adhere and the question should take notice,and hoping to provide some reasonable advice for the better application of English on entry and exit border checks.
