本书是作者25年前在维也纳出版的《科学的逻辑》的首次英译本;原书产生过很大的影响,但是常为人误解,而且读的人也很少,现在原文和原注全部不动,但加了若干注解。另外是七篇原来的附录,也添了些新注。最后是12篇新附录,共占150页之多,有些是杂志里的短文和论文重印的。书中还提到作者即将出版的一本书《写在二十年后的一篇后记》,讨论的还是同一问题。作者自称他现在的见解和二十年前并无主要的不同。
This book is the first English translation of the “logic of science” published by the author in Vienna 25 years ago; the original book had a great influence, but it was often misunderstood and rarely read, , But added a few comments.
