著名作家、戏剧家、文艺评论家、翻译家和法国文学专家李健吾同志,因病于一九八二年十一月二十四日在北京逝世,终年七十六岁。李健吾同志一九○六年生于山西省运城县。早在青少年时期,即投身戏剧运动并从事创作,鲁迅、朱自清对他的作品曾给予很高的赞誉。他热爱祖国,热爱人民,用戏剧作品积极参加党所领导的抗日戏剧运动和反内战、反对国民党黑暗统治的斗争,表现了中华民族优秀知识分子
