胶东地区夏玉米上的棉铃虫卵80%以上产于尚未开花的雄穗上。夏玉米抽雄盛期,是夏玉米上的棉铃虫产卵盛期;而开花盛期,则是卵孵化盛期。夏玉米棉铃虫产卵盛期历年都在7月26日至8月13日之间。夏玉米抽雄盛期,若出现于7月25日以前,或8月13日以后,则可避开夏玉米棉铃虫产卵盛期。在确保夏玉米稳产高产的前提下,适当调节夏玉米的播种期,使夏玉米上的棉铃虫产卵盛期与夏玉米抽雄盛期错开,则可基本杜绝棉铃虫为害。

Under the precondition of ensuring the stable and high yield of summer maize, the suitable sowing period of summer maize can make cotton bollworm infestation basically stagnated when the cotton bollworm spawning peak of summer maize stagnates with summer maize tasselling peak.
