西周初年的一件大事是营建东都成周。关于其建筑年代,历来有第五年与第七年之说,又有所谓周公返政前与返政后之说。千百年来,莫衷一是。本文试图将出土与传世金文和文献记载结合起来,对这一问题作一粗浅的分析,若有些微之利,则所幸也。一、何尊的释读何尊铭文发现之后,引起了对西周初年纪年问题的又一次热烈讨论~①。其中有数处的释读存在分歧。所以,有必要先对何尊铭文的释读试作一检讨。
