TAFA Ltd. is developing a system to extend the service life of coal-carrying steel body vehicles by enhancing corrosion and abrasion resistance, a technique that involves arc spraying pure aluminum coatings (7 mils). This low-cost method can be used for both new and used vehicles. There are about 480,000 coal trucks in the United States. The protection system was developed from the discovery of 1984: two new cars painted in 1962 have unexpectedly
