谷氨酸的兴奋毒性是造成视网膜神经节细胞损伤和死亡的主要因素之一,而谷氨酸转运体对维持细胞外谷氨酸水平起重要作用。GLAST是表达在Muller细胞膜上的一种重要的谷氨酸转运体,其在分子和蛋白质水平上的调节方式可能为酶底物—诱导的负反馈调节。
Excitotoxicity of glutamate is one of the major factors that cause retinal ganglion cell damage and death, and glutamate transporters play an important role in maintaining extracellular glutamate levels. GLAST is an important glutamate transporter expressed on the Muller cell membrane. Its regulation on the molecular and protein levels may be enzyme substrate-induced negative feedback regulation.
